Matthew is a composer and songwriter who seamlessly blends the traditional with the avant-garde, crafting original music that pushes boundaries and delights listeners with its unique blend of unorthodox instruments and modern soundscapes.

Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of musical genres and cultures, Matthew's compositions are characterized by their innovative arrangements and experimental techniques. Whether it’s creating memorable themes or subtly supporting the emotion of a scene, Matthew’s music captivates audiences with its bold creativity and distinctive sonic palette.

Matthew is an alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre’s Slaight Music Residency, during his time at the CFC, Matthew had the opportunity to write music for an episode of THE LISTENER, Patrick J. Adam’s directorial debut WE ARE HERE and numerous short films including two that premiered at TIFF, Slater Jewel-Kemker's STILL and Rob Grant's WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU.

He has music featured in the series Shameless (SHOWTIME) and was one of the few artists invited (including Radiohead’s Thom Yorke) to donate music to the climate change documentary YOUTH UNSTOPABLE. He also contributed original music to Netflix’s THE KISSING BOOTH 3 featuring Jacob Elordi. As a composer, he scored for Carly Stone’s feature debut THE NEW ROMANTIC that premiered at SXSW and was awarded Best First Feature. Most

recently Matthew composed for Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart’s feature SUZE that is currently in theatres.
